A leading global organisation is looking for an experienced Statutory and Tax Accounting Controller to join its Corporate Accounting team in Budapest.
In this senior expert role, you will manage the end‑to‑end statutory reporting and compliance processes for selected EMEA and/or APAC legal entities, working closely with international teams, external service providers and shared service centres.

Main Responsibilities
- Manage the complete statutory reporting cycle for assigned EMEA/APAC legal entities
- Oversee the preparation of statutory financial statements in line with local regulations
- Review statutory adjustments prepared by shared service centres and external partners
- Prepare reconciliations between statutory, tax and US‑GAAP ledgers
- Collaborate with tax service providers on tax return preparation
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness and timely filing of statutory accounts and tax calculations
- Coordinate and support statutory audits
- Ensure full compliance with local accounting and tax requirements
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve statutory accounting processes
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting
- At least 8 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US‑GAAP
- Significant experience in an international business environment
- Fluent English (written and verbal) and Fluent Spanish (written and verbal)
- Big4 background and/or ACCA (or equivalent) qualification is an advantage
- Prior statutory accounting experience across multiple countries is a plus
