Your new role
Work in the position of a multi-technology Network Specialist, collaborating with remote members of the team, and supporting various site IT & IS representatives. Required to administer diverse and inherently complex systems with high impact of failure. Travel in Europe may be necessary. Role encompasses:
- Network Run and Level 3 support
- Network Project Consultation, Design & Build
Run/Level 3 support
- Incident Management & Analysis
- Call Triage & Prioritisation
- Proximity / Onsite Support with Short Notice Mobility
- Remote Troubleshooting
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Telecoms, Servers, WAN, IT Security
- Infrastructure Monitoring
- Security Vulnerability Monitoring, SOC Reporting & Patch Deployment
- CMDB, Life-cycle monitoring & Ownership
Change/Projects/Activities
- Single entry point for NE Network Queries, e.g. Performance improvements, Hardware selection
- Develop deep understanding of NE network topology, infrastructure, processes, contacts & regional history to enhance quality of service
- Design and Build Capability for New / Upgraded Office LAN & WiFi deployments
- Secure Vendor Connectivity Requests
- Firewall Change Requests – Coordination of Business & 3rd Party Requirements
- Site-to-Site VPN Change Requests
- Infrastructure Access Management / TACACS+
- Vendor Liaison: Maintenance, WAN, Hybrid Cloud
What you'll need to succeed
- At least 5 years’ experience directly providing and coordinating network support and consultancy for large multi-national, multi-cultural enterprises, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
- Proven track record facing and successfully managing / resolving large-scale or high impact network related incidents.
Minimum Education & Qualifications: Valid certification mandatory for at least one, preferably two, of the following:
- CCNP Routing & Switching
- CCNP Security
- CCNP Wireless
- CCDP
Valid certification desirable for any of the following:
- CCDE / CCIE Routing & Switching / CCIE Security / CCIE Wireless
Specific Technical Skills / Software knowledge:
- Cisco ACS
- Cisco ISE, 802.1x
- Cisco Catalyst & Nexus
- Cisco WiFi & WLC with FlexConnect
- Cisco Prime
- Juniper LAN/Wi-Fi solution
- HPE LAN/Wi-Fi solution
- SolarWinds NCM/NPM
- NetFlow
- Wintel Server Administration
- Cisco AnyConnect VPN
- Cisco ASA Firewall
- Palo Alto NGFW & Panorama
- Fortinet FortiGate/FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer NGFW
- F5 BIG-IP LTM
- Enterprise Dynamic Routing with EIGRP and/or OSPF
- Amazon AWS
- Google Cloud Platform
- Basic awareness of Cisco ACI / Cisco TrustSec & SD-WAN solutions.
