Your new role

• As a project specialist, you will project automation solutions for conversions, extensions, modifications, controls and optimisations of power plants, also in the course of the energy transition.
• Participation in the preparation, calculation and coordination of offers and solutions for our customers, support of your sales colleagues with technical questions as well as feasibility and effort estimation in the quotation phase and regular coordination of location-specific topics and strategies.
• Responding to customer enquiries regarding on-site technological solutions and coordinating them with our internal partners
• Independent handling of site-specific service business and projects
• Coordination of a project team in the area of your functional area in the project in compliance with the schedule, the costs within the framework of the overall project
• Coordination of projects with other function areas such as hardware, third-party systems, project management
• Commissioning of the projected systems on the customer's plants: cold commissioning with signal tests, warm and hot commissioning with start-up of process systems of the plant
• Independent handling of site-specific service business and projects
• Independent handling of service and maintenance problems on site

What you'll need to succeed

• A degree or apprenticeship in the field of process engineering, energy technology, automation technology, electrical engineering apprenticeship with corresponding additional qualifications or similar.
• Professional experience in automation, as well as good knowledge in the field of power plant technologies and automation systems, e.g. Omnivise T3000 (formerly SPPA-T3000), PCS7, SPPA-T2000, Tec4fde, EPLAN P8
• Basic knowledge of network setup and couplings to third-party systems (e.g. IEC 61850, Modbus TCP-IP or RTU, OPC UA or S7-BB)
• Basic knowledge in the field of hardware planning and design of I&C structures (measurement, control and regulation) with components of the automation spectrum, programmable logic controllers and the IO level
• A confident appearance towards customers and subcontractors as well as assertiveness, negotiation skills and the ability to react flexibly to disruptions and solve them independently
• Intercultural competence
• Problem-solving/analysis skills
• Enjoyment of working in a team and at the customer's site
• Fluent German and intermediate English skills are mandatory
• You are willing to spend more than 60% of your working time in Germany
• Valid category B driving licence
